Look who's 4 & 2

The boys had their b-day's, hard to believe they are 4 and 2!

They had a "kiddy" party with all their friends and then celebrated on each of their actual b-day's with close family.

On Luke's b-day we visited the NICU saying "hi" to all his nurses and doctors. Bringing cupcakes and blueberries to thank them for all their hard work. It paid off!

Both Bryan and Luke are doing GREAT!!!!!

Here are some latest pictures.  Enjoy!

And Climb.
After seeing the roses, it was time to climb.
Stop and smell the roses, especially at the Rose Garden.
I love popsicles!
My first popsicle.
Luke takes over the wheel.
Zoo time!  Is that a bear behind us?
Is there mud on my face?  Boys will be boys!

The picture of both the boys is from Easter.  We're enjoying the nicer weather and being outside a lot more.  The boys love being outside and really put up a fuss when it's time to go inside.  Bryan is a great big brother and very helpful.  He loves that train set more than anything and loves to color and draw.  Luke is learning to talk.  He does syllables, but not quite getting the whole word out, but he's very close!  He said "duck" recently, so I know more words are coming soon, however he's getting to be a great communicator, letting us know what he wants and doesn't want, it has helped a lot that we can do that now.  He loves books and story time.  Really enjoying the fun we're having with the boys!

Thought you would like to see what the boys are up to.

Bryan is having fun finding worms and Luke is climbing and that includes climbing in and out of drawers.

Both the boys LOVE being outside and we like that the weather is getting warmer!!

January 28, 2009

1 year ago today

January has been a great month!  Especially because we've had on our minds how Luke came home from the hospital this month.  And today Luke turning 18months old, marks his 1 year homecoming.  We celebrated with his Godparents, his primary nurse Barb and tonight with his grandparents.  Friday Luke will celebrate some more with his 2 other main nurse's (Bryn and Christie).
Even though a year ago seems like awhile ago, what we went through with Luke is still fresh on our minds.  It just takes a quick thought or a photo of that time to bring memories vivid in our minds.
I've thought a lot about what I prayed for with Luke (besides pleading for his life), I prayed that he could run around and play with his brother and be happy.  And today, those prayers are answered.
